Curriculum At SUGUNA PIP School
The academic curriculum at Suguna PIP School provides physical, intellectual and social development of students. The school follows the curriculum prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education. It integrates innovation in pedagogy, knowledge and application, nurture life skills, promote inclusivity, encourage value-based learning activities, environmental education and equally emphasize Co-scholastic areas of Work Education, Art Education and Health and Physical Education.
The objectives of the curriculum include to enhance self-awareness, explore innate potential, develop thinking skills, problem solving skills & creativity, inculcate values, acquire the ability to utilize the technology and information for the betterment of humankind, develop the ability to appreciate art and showcase talents and promote physical fitness, health and wellbeing. Keeping this objective in mind we follow the policy of ‘No homework” for classes 1 and 2
The curriculum at secondary and senior secondary level is divided into Scholastic and Co-scholastic areas as per the latest changes recommended by CBSE. The pedagogical practices are learner centric. The teachers promote active learning among students with a focus on reflections, connecting with the world around, creating and constructing knowledge. Universal Values, Life Skills, Constitutional Values with emphasis on realization of Fundamental Duties are incorporated depending upon context of the subjects.
