Suguna Charitable Trust is a Corporate Social Endeavor of the Suguna Group of Industries. Suguna Pumps and Motors have a leadership position in the motors and pumps industry and enjoy a strong customer loyalty for the same. The group supplies Suguna brand pumps to over 300,000 customers every year.
Ever since its inception under the stewardship of Late Shri G Ramaswamy, its visionary chairman, the group has shown remarkable growth and recognition. At a time when electric motors were imported from the UK and Germany, he founded Suguna industries at Coimbatore in 1958 to manufacture electric motors. Today the well-diversified group, which is headed by it Managing Director Shri V. Lakshminarayanasamy has diverse interests in Motors and Pumps, Machined components, pneumatic compressors, Foundry and Textiles.
The Suguna Charitable Trust formed in 1973, has several projects in the areas of education and health care, which add laurels to the group's accomplishments.
