Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other. Good leaders are trailblazers making a path for others to follow. The first official program which heralds the start of our school new year, the Investiture Ceremony which is basically the installation of the school cabinet for the academic year 2019- 20 was conducted on 14.6.2019. The Investiture Ceremony, a special day for all the chosen leaders as they get ready to take over their respective duties with true spirit and integrity and a promise to discharge them with due diligence.
The election was conducted online on 10.6.2019 and the results were announced the next day. On 14.6.2019 the new office bearers took an oath to abide by the school rules and uphold the principles of loyalty, truth, and honor in high esteem. LN Sir, Suguna Ma’am, Sekar Sir and Poovannan Sir presided over the function. Parents of the elected members were invited to witness their children take the oath. The newly elected office bearers received their badge from Suguna Ma'am, their sash from LN Sir and the house flag from Poovannan Sir.
Our President, Suguna Ma’am enlightened the elected representatives and the gathered students with a few valuable tips about good leadership. One of the key points that she wanted the leaders to imbibe was, ‘When a team wins, the leader stands behind but when the team fails or is questioned the leader takes charge of the situation and brings about remedial measures to put the situation in order’. She also encouraged the students to be good role models for their juniors.
