A Spectacular Extravaganza
Suguna PIP School (SPIPS) celebrated their Annual Day on Friday the 21st December 2018, amidst much fanfare and glitz. The event was rightly captioned - ‘Panchadasha Varshanaam Satha Anubhava’ meaning ‘Fifteen Years of Experience’. Ms. Lavanya Sankar, renowned Bharatanatyam dancer was the Chief Guest for the evening. The event was presided by Chairman, Shri. Lakshmi Narayanaswamy, President, Srimathi Suguna, members of the board, Director, Dr V.Sekar and Principal, Mr. M. Poovannan.
The programme started with a Marathi classical dance, invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha followed by the welcome address by the Head Girl. The Star of the School for the current year was announced by Mrs.Lakshmi Balakrishnan, Academic co-ordinator. The main events of the programme were peppy dance numbers and Naiyandi Sindhu - a classical satire on the woes of Lord Mahavishnu and a musical drama on the lores of Chatrapathi Shivaji. The performances were well received by the august audience with much enthusiasm and applause.
The event concluded with the chief guest addressing the gathering with words of appreciation for the management, staff and students. The highlight was the LED and 3D Projection Wall used for the first time in Coimbatore as it gave a totally different perspective to the whole show. This was followed by a Vote of Thanks, by the Head Boy.
